Woot! Woot!

Yay! My new Flip Ultra arrived today! My friend Lisa sent me a
message about it last week. It was a hot item on Woot.com. I got it
for a steal! Only paid $59 for it! I am really tired if my mini disc
camcorder. It is a royal pain. You have to have the discs and have it
charged. Then half the time I wouldn't have it with me because it is
so big and bulky (compartiably speaking). Getting the video
footage on the computer is another story in itself. Just more work
than I want to put in. So...I have very little footage. All the videos
that I have taken are so special. But I always want more. Now I will
have this little video camera in my purse at all times! It is about
the size if my iPhone. Perfect! I can't wait to use it more! Here is
a little footage I took when I took it out if the box tonight. The
quality is pretty good! And getting the footage on my computer was a
snap! The USB plug is attached right to the camera! No cords to lose!
I have only used it a few times, but I think it is safe to say that ya need to go buy one!

Calling All Camp Rock Fans...

...Let me introduce you to Mia. She is lover of all things Camp Rock and High School Musical!
Mia made a :stage: out of her two little table chairs. This is the second night in a row we have been blessed with the gift of music (karaoke) in our house. Last night she gave 4-5 performances. Tonight I asked her if she would mind if I took a little video since it was soooo cute. It was hard to keep the camera straight since I was laughing inside and trying not to do it outloud! I just wanted to post the video so you all could see her live and on stage! I have also posted this to my You Tube account, all you need to do is enter the search word missambita when on You Tube's website. It should bring up all of the little video clips that I have loaded over the past few years. Enjoy!

Attention Tooth Fairy...

…Mia lost her third tooth last night. This one really was a big production. She had been wiggling this tooth for a few days, making sure to let us know that it was indeed loose. On Saturday night, while at Hideaway Pizza, she thought it was necessary to really begin working on getting that sucker out of there. Troy was even giving her assistance, and thinking of ways to help her get it out. I looked at it and insisted that it was nowhere near falling out status. Until a tooth is hanging by its last string (gross) it is not ready in my book. But Saturday night after explaining to her that it was not ready over and over, she broke down in tears. We came to find that the reason why she was so adamant about getting that tooth out was because her teacher, Mrs. Miller, has a chart in their classroom and every person that loses a tooth gets charted! She was bawling saying “It has to come out before Monday because I want to make sure to get on the chart”. There was nothing I could do to explain to her that February still has a week left in it. (I am assuming that since February is Dental month, she is only charting this for one month.) They do some really silly things in her class. This made me quite angry. The fact that my child wanted to take her teeth out when they were obviously not ready, just to get on a stupid chart at school. Sometimes I think that the teachers really need to think ahead on things like this. But I guess, who would think a child wants to purposely inflict gross pain on themselves just to get on a chart! Apparently, at Kindergartener named Mia! She got that tooth out on Sunday night after her shower. I was told it was just one part that was giving her a tough time getting it out.

I just don’t ever want a part in that. It makes my skin crawl to think about that process!!! She will be placing her tooth under her pillow tonight and the going rate is 1 Buck at the Eberhardt house! Not too bad!

Slow Down Sunday

This week was pretty busy, but very productive. Monday was President's Day, so Mia had off of school. I stayed with her in the afternoon. We went shopping. It was FUN! I got my new Vera Bradley bag and she got this Shar Pei Prom Costume. She has worn it for about fifty seconds. Just long enough for me to snap a picture! She says it is scratchy. She is so "Her Father's Daughter". He is the same way with clothes. She will probably never put it on again. Nice!

Friday night, Troy had a Soccer Coach's meeting after work. So Mia and I set out to find the Basset Hounds some new dog beds. Hannah has destroyed all the dog beds in the house but her own. Go figure. We went right to Sam's since that is where we find them for the best deal. They were only $22.00! Such a good deal when you consider that if you were to buy a nice big bed like this from Petco or Petsmart, you will drop at least $70.00 for one! So paying under $50.00 for two is in my mind a steal! Madison was soooo excited when I brought them in the door! You can tell she was missing her old one.

We met friends Lisa and Jerry with their cute kids Addisson and Ty at Hideaway Pizza for dinner last night. I have to say that my pizza was to die for. I ordered a new specialty pizza called Bleu Shroom Pizza. OMG! It was a handtossed pizza with olive oil, mushrooms, minced garlic and bleu cheese. I am raving about this pizza to everyone, but no one seems to be interested! I guess you do have to be a fan of bleu cheese. It rocks! You must try it if you go there!

Before we went to Hideaway, we stopped at Pier 1. This has been one of my all time favorite stores ever since I was in middle school! We used to walk to the Pier 1 by my house when I was little to look at all the cool toy like items they carry. Now I shop mainly for my house. I had a $20 gift card to use and it was burning a hole in my wallet! I needed a new reed diffuser so was happy to see they were on sale yesterday. I chose a vanilla buttercream scent. It smelled so good in the store. I decided to put it on the ledge in my kitchen. I didn't know how strong it would be, but I got a cute little holder to put it in, so thought it looked really cute and if it let off a little vanilla here and there, it would be fine. OMG! It is mouthwatering! It is filling my whole kitchen, dining room, living room area with this wonderful smell of frosting! Troy says he wants to eat the bottle! I strongly recommend this product if you like the reed diffusers. And the cute little holders to slip the bottle into make it a nice accessory to any room!

I am now just hanging out washing windows, vacuuming, dusting, doing laundry and watching my taped programs in between. I am so behind on CSI so I have watched a few of those episodes. I miss Gil Grisham so much, it is hard for me to get excited about it anymore. He made the show worth watching. It is is such a bummer that he left the show.
Well, the dryer just let out its obnoxious buzzzzzz! Time to fold and reload!

Vegas Bound...

I came home from work yesterday and Troy gave me my Valentine's Day card. We didn't really celebrate, and I suck at getting cards. But he gave me the one he got for me. I opened the card and 10 one hundred dollar bills dropped out! I was at a loss for words!! He is very lucky at the slot machines. He stopped by the casino on his way home from work yesterday with 40 bucks in hand and won 1600! He paid taxes on it right away, so only came home with 1000. How exciting! Now we can plan our annual trip to Vegas baby!!! Last year we did not get to go, so I am seriously excited. I want to see Cher more than I want to breathe! I hope to schedule our trip around a time that she is 'On' and not 'Dark'. But I also want to try to go when Kevin James will be out there. I love him and would love to see him again. But if we can't work that, I would love to see Howie Mandel again. Troy has not seen him. My Mom and I saw him at the Mirage a few years ago. And even though I had the FLU so bad, I was peeing my pants with laughter! That is such a great memory that Mom and I shared. I wish I wouldn't have been so horribly sick on that trip. To be honest, most of my Vegas trips have consisted of a 'Sick Amber'. The year before my FLU trip, Troy and I went out there and I had the Shingles! Even still, the memories have been great! That was the trip we took to see my all time fave Tom Petty at The Joint inside The Hard Rock Hotel. I sure wish he would play that venue again! What a GREAT place to see a concert. Even though you have to stand the whole time. It is such a small room, you feel like you are right there next to the stage, even from the last row! I am posting a picture from that concert. We stayed in the back so we were close to the bar! And we loved it! Shingles and all!
Vegas here we come!!!

Slow Down Sunday

Today has been busy. Not quite a slow Sunday. I worked pretty much all day. Trying to get caught up from year end. I got a lot done, so I feel pretty good about it. Troy and Mia hung out with Troy's parents and went to breakfast. I am doing really well with keeping up on my flylady instructions. I feel so good about my house and was really happy to come home from work today to a clean house. A normal Sunday usually means a lot of laundry and rushing around the house to prepare for our week ahead. Right now, I am currently relaxing on my couch enjoying my clean place and the new candle holders that Troy helped me hang up this evening. I finally found something to hang on our big wall in the living room. I put them in a big line above the TV. It makes it so relaxing when the candles are lit and the lights are down. All the dogs are sleeping and Mia is reading me a story as I type. She is getting pretty good at it. Troy ran to Hooters to get wings for our dinner! He was really wanting wings, but they are the only ones I will eat. So he said he would drive all the way across town to pick them up. How sweet. :-)
Tomorrow is a day off for Mia for President's Day. My goodness, I don't remember having so many days off when I was little. Troy is staying with her in the morning and I will come home for the afternoon. I hope I can get a lot accomplished in the morning because I have a major deadline to meet this week that can't be pushed back! EEK! I will probably be working from home tomorrow night to make sure that I have everything finished.
I'm off now to listen to Mia read me a story about Hotel for Dogs and to enjoy the rest of our Sunday together. Hope you enjoyed my picture of my cute love dogs! Aren't they sooooo sweet!? OMG, they make me melt!

Fly Lady

I just found out about this website last night called flylady.com. It is a website dedicated to teaching you how to get in a routine of cleaning and de-cluttering your house or any space. It takes you through baby steps to making a new habit in your life. I started following the steps tonight. It is my attempt to get more organized at home and get rid of things in our tiny house that don't need to be hanging out here anymore. We are so busy, especially during the week, that by the time the weekend comes, our house looks like a tornado hit. (Tornado Mia!) But we work so hard during the week, it sure does stink to have to spend our whole weekend cleaning. So I am determined to get this place organized and on a schedule so I can breathe a sigh of relief every morning when I leave for work, knowing that I am leaving my house in good status for the day. I wish I could be more of a morning person so I could take care of a lot of these items before work. But you all know how I cherish my morning sleep time!!!
I will let you know how flylady.com is helping me as I go. Check out the site if you are interested in de-cluttering your life as well!!

Thursday Night Rituals...

Tonight was swim night. Just part of our Thursday Night Ritual. Then when we got home Mia addressed all of her Valentines for her party at school tomorrow. She is giving boxes of conversation hearts. Yummy! Only I think we might have bought the tart ones instead of the original kind. Oh well. The kids love any kind of candy! Then we watched the last thirty minutes of Survivor that started tonight. Darnit! I was lost. I need to watch full episodes of things. I can't just pop in half way through and "get" what is going on. I have been cuddling with my Marley all night. She is so sweet. Hannah won't give me the time of day since she has her doggie bed. For some reason she tears apart all the other dog beds, but just wants to hump this one. What a freak! Madison is at her "past eight o'clock" status and doesn't want to be bothered. Mia sang herself to sleep watching one of two of her favorite movies Camp Rock. Troy is snoring so loud that I can't hear the TV or my own thoughts in my head for that matter! Oh how I wish he could stop the snoring. It is SO loud. I started using ear plugs, but Hannah kept finding them and demolishing them. One by one. Now I don't have any left. Well, enough of this rambling. I'm off to watch the news. Gotta see what our lovely Prez is planning for our country now. Then I've got to try to get some zzzzzzzzs!

Idle Thoughts...

Well, you can tell we have not been really doing much of anything lately. I have no new :out and about: pictures. Just some shots from around the house. We have been homebodies for the most part. With the exception of being at The Riverwalk for two weekends in a row! Work is just really busy and my brain goes into idle status from the second I hit home. About another month or two and we might be able to say we are at a steady status again. Year end is always so busy. Then we roll right into January and then we have two back to back audits. I do need to find myself a Wonder Woman coffee mug. Because sometimes I feel a lot like that is who people expect me to be! I did have Wonder Woman Under Roos when I was little. Maybe my Mom knew what my life had in store for me!
I am sure everyone feels like this. So please don't pity me. That certainly is not what I want. But if you are along with me in this crazy boat. Isn't it so fun?! Don't get me wrong, work is very rewarding when I feel like I am making a difference. One thing that would be nice is if I were a bit better at organizing at home and getting my fam on a better schedule. I am really a schedule person. If everything had a schedule, I would really breathe better! :O)
My office at work could sure use a cleaning as well. Maybe tomorrow morning I will go in super early and clean it before I get my day started. Or maybe I will just sleep a little longer and clean it later. Yep, that sounds good. Sure wish I were a morning person!

A Calm Rain

Not much new going on tonight. Work has me pretty occupied this time of year. I am so looking forward to going to Florida in March. I get to take a break right in the middle of our 2008 Financial Audit at work to hit the beach with the fam! It will be nice to escape. We have not had a real vacation in a long time. Life just takes over and gets us all busy and stuff! I imagine that things will only get busier as Mia gets older.
I have no idea why I put these dog pics on this blog entry. They have absolutely nothing to do with anything in this entry, but I just :Picnik'd: them so I thought I would post them.
We are having a really relaxing thunderstorm right now. I can't wait to lay in bed and listen to the rain. That has to be one of my favorite things. I just hope it is not raining tomorrow when I have to get up for work. That is nearly impossible for me to do. I just want to lay in bed and listen to it all day!!!
Well, I am off to watch :The Mentalist: with Troy.

Slow Down Sunday

Today was a very relaxing Sunday. We got a lot done around the house. Including lots of laundry. Mia finally got some rest to recover from her sleep over on Friday night! The dogs lounged around all day as well. This picture was taken after I moved the chairs out from the table to wash the floors. Hannah somehow managed to get her favorite things all situated under the table. She has her bed, her dog bowl and her favorite squeaky duck. I thought it was hilarious. At one point she had the bed out on the deck, but all of the sudden there it was under the table, with all of her faves safely tucked inside.
I still have some work to do tonight. But feel good that we got some work done today around here. :O)

Diva Napping

Mia attended a sleepover at her friend Maddison's last night. She is
SO tired right now. As well as extremely whiney. For some reason,
today it is just rolling off my back. Normally the whining gets on my
nerves really bad. But today I think I was expecting exactly this.
We are driving around Tulsa. Doing some shopping. She is chilling out
in the back seat cat napping.
We are supposed to go back to the Riverwalk tonight with The Adams
Family. I just realized that was funny after I typed it! How cute!
Wouldn't that be cool to be The Adams Family?!
Anyway, I hope that she is not like this all night. That would be a
bummer. Maybe she will rally after some rest in the car.

Mmmmmmargaritas!!

So we went to Los Cabos on a whim Friday night. Troy and I took Mia to
The Riverwalk because we were bored. We ordered appetizers for dinner
and Troy and I had some Horny Toad Margaritas. Yum! They were so
good that we went back on Saturday night and did a total repeat of the
night before!!!! Gotta love the Riverwalk!
